Marine applications are understood as all elements aimed at the proper functioning of devices installed on board a ship, from those operating above deck (controlling cargo doors and hatches, embarkation and luggage-handling platforms, ramps, lifts and many different types of winches), through to equipment used below deck, such as active fins, manoeuvre systems and gyro stabilizers used to reduce undesirable pitch and roll.
These applications are satisfied following the regulations of IACS, the International Association of Classification Societies.
