Duplomatic MS has considerable experience in the design of simple or servo-controlled actuators for the energy sector, characterized by very specific needs: reliability, particular design for all the most varied requests of steam or gas valve manufacturers, featuring integrated fail safe. This considerable experience has been gradually refined by developing and deepening the close collaboration with the technicians of the sector, creating tailor made actuators that are also compliant with the ATEX Directive for zone 2 and SIL 2 certified on request.

The product is conceived for the actuation of the regulation or shut-off valves of the flow of liquid or gaseous fuel, in order to guarantee excellent positioning precision and high reliability. To meet these needs, in the servoactuators the oil regulation is entrusted to a high dynamics servovalve which communicates with a position transducer in closing of the ring on the actuator, which guarantees the system a centesimal positioning precision. Consider that an error of a few tenths of a millimeter generates a dispersion of a few MW of electricity.

The shut-off actuators with on-off activation are equipped with a redundant system on the fail safe closing function which must take place with full stroke times of 100-200 msec.

Precisely due to the high safety standard required in these systems, the fail safe function is entrusted to a series of cup springs contained in the actuator which will provide a much higher MTTF value than that obtainable by entrusting the closure to a storage group.
