DESCRIPTION
AKW DAIKIN industrial chillers are designed for cooling water or water-glycol emulsion (up to 30% vol.) in applications requiring high thermal control accuracy and maximum energy efficiency. Equipped with a Daikin original IPM inverter compressor, the AKW units ensure reliable performance with optimised energy consumption, which can be monitored in real time via the integrated control panel.
Fitted with 50/60 Hz multifrequency pumps, these chillers are suitable for integration into equipment and systems intended for various international markets, offering maximum installation flexibility.
The refrigeration circuit, featuring an electronic expansion valve and hot gas bypass, provides extremely stable temperature regulation, with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C across the entire operating range (ambient temperature from 5 to 45 °C).
The unit supports three control modes:
– maintaining a constant temperature of the fluid;
– synchronising with ambient or machine tool temperature;
– cooling at constant refrigeration capacity.
The AKW series is available in these configurations:
– base models, without pump or tank;
– configurable models with centrifugal pump, with or without tank;
– configurable models with high-head submerged pump and stainless steel tank;
All configurable models are assembled and customised in Italy and can be supplied either with an electrical terminal block or with a plug panel and external isolator.
A wide range of custom options is available, including protective devices such as flow switch, level switch, and pressure gauge, Rc/BSP adapters, castors, optional thermistors, and programming other than factory settings. Thanks to their versatility, AKW chillers are used across a wide range of applications, including CNC machine tools, industrial lasers, semiconductor equipment, electrical discharge machining systems, medical and cosmetic devices, laboratories, pilot plants, fermentation systems, and other industrial processes where precise and reliable cooling is essential.
