SPS 2022 - ECL3 and ECS3 cylinders
Discover the ECL3 and ECS3 cylinders.
These are electric servo cylinders that can be fixed using the most common accessories that follow the ISO 15552 standard.
They can mount brushless motors, gearboxes, stepper motors supplied by DMS or the most well-known brands available on the market. The motors can be arranged in line or in parallel.
The transmission of motion and load occurs by means of recirculating ball screws. It is also possible to mount trapezoidal screws as an option.
The range of sizes is very wide: solutions can be proposed for applications ranging from 50kg up to 12 tons. Linear speeds can be greater than one meter per second.
Each size is offered with two sizes of ball screw. The ECL3 version mounts standard screws, the ECS3 version mounts screws with a larger diameter for "demanding" applications in terms of duration.
The design of the cylinder is made to minimize vibrations: the piston is guided with precision in the liner with double sliding guide with zero play; the shaft end of the screw is supported by a bearing; the stem is guided in the front head with a long linear bushing.
The cylinder can be equipped with a robust integrated anti-rotation device, while the piston is equipped with a magnetic ring and the barrel has external slots to accommodate any sensors. The rod has an increased external diameter and thickness for maximum rigidity and high resistance to radial and peak loads. The screw is supported by bearings with high load ratings to allow the transmission of high loads in both directions.
A high-strength timing belt is used to connect the engine in parallel, in order to have the reliability and sturdiness of the torque transmission chain.
The in-line transmission is made with high capacity precision couplings.
