DESCRIPTION

The AKZ DAIKIN series offers circulating chillers featuring an inverter-controlled, air-cooled compressor for cooling lubricating oil or mineral fluids.

Equipped with a Daikin original IPM inverter compressor, the AKZ units ensure reliable performance with optimised energy consumption, which can be monitored in real time via the integrated control panel.

Temperature control is very accurate: ±0.1 °C in the whole duty cycle; the ambient temperature range is within 5 to 45 °C.

These units support three control modes:

• synchronising with ambient or machine tool temperature;
• maintaining a constant temperature of the fluid;
• cooling at constant refrigeration capacity.

The AKZ series is available in these configurations:

• base models, without tank;
• Configurable models with tank;

All configurable models are assembled and customised in Italy and can be supplied either with an electrical terminal block or with a plug panel and external isolator.

 A wide range of custom options is available, including protective devices such as Rc/BSP adapters, castors, optional thermistors, and programming other than factory settings. Our technical pre-sales team supports customers in defining the most suitable configuration.

An autotuning function that automatically sets the control gain according to the system installed (tank oil volume, piping, etc.) reduces adjustment time significantly at the trial run.

The AKZ cooling units are perfect in applications that demand a strict control of the temperature, such as machining centers, NC lathes, gearbox lubricants, grinding machines, electrical discharge machines, molding machines, presses, etc.
